PASTORAL MINISTRY – FORMING PEOPLE FOR PARISH SERVICE

“To all whom I send you, you shall go” (Jer 1:7)

Welcome:

A very warm welcome to all of you who have expressed an interest in, or who have signed up to one of our on-going formation courses. We are delighted that you are here, and we look forward to working with you as we journey together, seeking to grow in our ministry of service so that our parishes can be truly missionary, evangelising and outward looking as called for by Pope Francis. On this page you will find links to each of the courses we offer.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Pastoral Ministry Information Evenings

As far back as 2012, Pope Benedict XVI was advocating the need for greater involvement of the laity in the life of the Church. The Synodal Process has already shown that there is a desire by the laity to be more involved and a need for solid formation to give people the confidence to respond. Clifton Diocese offers two in-depth courses in support of this need:

The Loyola Certificate in Pastoral Ministry

The Clifton Ministry Skills Programme

Application Form for Pastoral Ministry Formation Programmes

Loyola Chicago Certificate Course

Loyola University Chicago Certificate Course in Pastoral Ministry

Clifton Ministry Skills Course

A programme of formation leading to declaration of readiness for pastoral ministry

Catechists - Formation

Throughout the year the department will offer a variety of courses and opportunities for catechists and those interested in becoming catechists to discover more and to grow in this very special ministry

Invited – A formation course in Stroud

These formation sessions are for anyone who is interested in learning more about their faith and passing it onto others.
