Dialogue and Unity

The Commission for Dialogue and Unity advises Bishop Declan on all matters relating to Church Unity and Interfaith. It also promotes and encourages Parishes to develop local with other Christian Churches.
The Commission includes members active in local ecumenism throughout the Diocese who can offer advice and help to Priests and Parishes.

Guidelines for Catholics on Local Ecumenism
The Committee for Christian Unity of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales has produced guidelines for Catholics on local ecumenical involvement in;

Churches Together in England has been established to enable the Churches in England to deepen their communion with Christ and with one another and proclaim the Gospel together by common witness and service. Further information can be found here.

Catholic Methodist Dialogue

A paper by Dr. David Carter, Bristol Methodist District, on the latest Dialogue is available here. The Dialogue between the two Churches is on-going and papers on progress are produced every five years.

Christians Meeting Together in Bristol: Upper Reaches Gatherings in Temple Quay
